FALKLAND
FEATURES THAT MAKE THE FALKLAND A VERY VERSATILE SHIP
ECONOMICAL AND GREEN TRANSPORT
The Falkland will allow bulk cargo transport to be carried out much more economically by reducing the use of trucks on the road networks, In addition to significantly contributing to a reduction in environmental impact. By way of comparison, this vessel carries 3,500 tons for an hourly consumption of 250 liters of fuel and a capacity equivalent to some 150 trucks. This makes it a sensibly green choice.
VERSATILE AND FOR LARGE VOLUMES
The Falkland has a cargo hold with a capacity of 4650 m³ which allows to load large volume cargo. With a lifting capacity of 8 tons and on the hatch cover a capacity of 15 tons per square meter, the Falkland is able to load a large variety of cargo. Its watertight cargo hold allows for the loading of cargo. The Falkland provides great flexibility to the manufacturing and construction industries.
NAVIGATES IN SHALLOW WATERS
The Falkland is a 3500 tons deadweight ship at a draught of 5.5 meters. The low draught allows the ship to operate in ports with shallow water (Regional Ports). Businesses who want to develop a market with Newfoundland, St-Pierre et Miquelon, the Magdalen Islands and the Lower North Shore can thus be well served.
