FALKLAND
SHALLOW DRAUGHT
Falkland is a 3500-tons deadweight ship at a draught of 5.5 meters. The low draught allows the ship to operate in ports with shallow waters (Regional Ports). This will allow us to use ports which are in close proximity to our clients.
EXCAVATOR
The Falkland is equipped with a Volvo EC 480 DL excavator which allows for a greater versatility for cargo operations in Regional ports without facilities. The excavator can be used for loading and unloading directly into trucks, this will no doubt reduce the impact on the environment. It is also possible to equip the excavator with a great variety of equipment such as: aggregate bucket, clamp for recycled materials, hook for cargo pallets.
LARGE VOLUME CARGO
The Falkland has a cargo hold with a capacity of 4650 m³ which allows to load large volume cargo. With a lifting capacity of 8 tons and a hatch cover capacity of 15 tons per square meter, she is able to load a large variety of cargo. The watertight cargo hold allows for the loading of cargo such as agricultural fertilizers and paper.
